SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid Training at CUCC in Champaign
DESCRIPTION:Community United Church of Christ in Champaign is pleased to offer adult Mental Health First Aid training on March 7\, at 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This training will give participants the skills they need to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use concern and connect them to appropriate care.\nYou can read about the training here: https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/.\nJessica Smiley\, the event trainer\, has her MSW and is a LCSW. She is employed at Heritage Behavioral Health Center and serves as Director of Youth Ministries at Community United Church of Christ in Champaign. Ms. Smiley worked in direct-service and leadership capacities for over 20 years supporting youth and families in social services\, foster care\, and early childhood services.
