DESCRIPTION:The Illinois Conference  and the Pension Boards-United Church of Christ\, Inc. (PBUCC) is offering a Nourishing Wellness: Refresh\, Replenish\, Renew.  A Holistic Wellness Retreat for Clergy and Members in Discernment in the Illinois Conference.  Why?  Because Pastors and other ministry leaders are often under so much stress that they may find themselves just hanging on by a thread\, about to burnout from exhaustion.  Pastor stress today is enormous.  The expectations that people put on their pastors  and that pastors put on themselves - can be overwhelming!\n\nYou are not alone.  We are here to help our leadership thrive in ministry.  The Illinois Conference and the Pension Boards-United Church of Christ\, Inc. (PBUCC) is here to minister to our clergy and MID’s. SUMMARY:End Money Bond Teach-In
DESCRIPTION:Every year 250\,000 people in Illinois are kept in jail before their trials simply because they are poor. As a result\, they are at risk of losing their jobs\, housing\, education\, and family. WE NEED TO END MONEY BOND. Come\, learn about Money Bond and Pretrial Detention and find out how we can stop this unjust practice in Illinois.\n\nOn Saturday\, March 14\, Kimball Avenue UCC and San Lucas UCC\, in collaboration with the Coalition to End Money Bond\, will present a community Teach-In at San Lucas UCC\, 2914 W. North Ave. in Chicago. The 2-hour event will begin at 10:00 am. In addition to learning about Money Bond and understanding its impact on individuals\, families and communities\, participants will be given tools to help end Money Bond in the state of Illinois.\n\nAdditional information here.
